About SellerTrove
An independent directory and data desk for the AI tools e-commerce sellers actually use — built to help you pick the right tool for a specific job on a specific platform, without the vendor spin.
Why we built this
Most “best AI tools” lists are written by people adjacent to the vendors and ranked by affiliate commission rather than usefulness. Meanwhile the catalog of tools for Shopify, Amazon, TikTok Shop, WooCommerce and DTC brands grows every week. SellerTrove exists to be the neutral, structured layer in between: a catalog you can trust to be organized by what a tool does, priced honestly, and current.
We currently track 168 AI tools across 8 seller jobs and 5 platforms, with full editorial pros, cons and a bottom-line verdict on the large majority of them. The aggregate numbers behind our writing live in the data report.
How we work
Organized by the job, not by who pays
Every tool is filed under the seller task it actually does — product research, ad creative, listings, SEO, support, inventory, pricing, email/SMS — and the platforms it supports. We structure the catalog so you can compare like-for-like, instead of scrolling a vendor-written "top 10".
No pay-for-rank
Sponsored placements exist and are always labeled. They never change a tool’s editorial position, its pros and cons, or its verdict. Buying an ad cannot buy a better review.
Honest pros, cons and verdicts
We write the downsides, the pricing traps (credit metering, per-seat creep, free-trial-to-annual), and who a tool is genuinely not for. A directory that only says nice things is just an ad network.
Refreshed, and dated
Pricing and features drift fast. We re-check the catalog regularly, snapshot pricing over time, and stamp pages with when they were updated so you know how fresh a claim is.
How we make money (and how we don’t)
SellerTrove is reader-supported through two clearly separated channels. Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you start a paid plan after clicking one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We also sell labeled sponsored placements and featured listings. Neither of these affects how a tool is described, scored, or ordered editorially. If a tool is mediocre, we say so — commission or not. You can read which programs the tools themselves run in our affiliate-program index.
Who’s behind it
SellerTrove is produced by an independent editorial desk that researches the e-commerce tooling market full-time. Articles are bylined “SellerTrove Editorial” because they reflect the desk’s collective methodology rather than a single columnist. Found an error or have a tool we should add? That feedback is the fastest way the catalog improves.
